Early Years Resources® stocks a range of storytelling teaching resources including puppets, masks, wooden characters and play scenes. Our storytelling teaching resources will encourage children to retell stories and to be able to create their own exciting tales. We have a wide selection of hand puppets and finger puppets (see also our Traditional Tales section) which are great to encourage children to role play stories and retell classic storylines. We also offer a selection of puppet theatres to bring the world of theatre to your classroom or Early Years setting. Our storytelling selection are ideally suited for use alongside the EYFS and KS1 literacy curriculum.
We offer a lovely range of children's Story Sacks which contains all you need to bring the stories to life and to extend children’s learning through the related resources which are included in the packs. We have children’s storytelling packs for other popular storytelling books including an Elmer storytelling kit, a Very Hungry Caterpillar storytelling kit, a Wibbly Pig storytelling kit and a Spot storytelling kit. We also have a selection of books with separate related products, such as the Gruffalo, Owl Babies and our Hari’s World range which perfectly support both the Literacy (CLL) and the PSHE (PSE) aspects of the curriculum.
To inspire the creation of children’s own stories we offer a range of themed storytelling teaching resources such as superhero resources and football resources, as well as fantasy world characters and historical characters in our storytelling teaching resources range. To support the development of ideas for story settings we have a wooden pyramid, a wooden rocket, a fairytale play scene, a castle play scene and two types of Story Boxes within our children’s storytelling resources collection.
