Delivery & Returns

COVID-19 Statement

Like many businesses, we may experience delays on a small number of products due to manufacturing and delivery delays as many suppliers continue to adapt as a result of Covid-19. We are working hard with our suppliers to maintain a high level of availability on products. Some direct delivery items may be subject to extended delivery times during this time.

Delivery (Mainland UK)

All orders placed online over the total value of £75.00, excluding VAT will be delivered free of charge. Orders with an order total of under £75.00, excluding VAT will be subject to a £5.95 carriage charge.

Orders placed via Phone, Email or Post over the total value of £150.00 excluding VAT, will be delivered free of charge. Orders below £150.00 excluding VAT will be subjected to a delivery charge of £5.95 excluding VAT.

Delivery (Northern Ireland)

All orders placed online for delivery to Northern Ireland will be subject to a £15.00 carriage charge.

Unfortunately we cannot take orders from the Republic of Ireland from our UK website, please visit our International Website for more information.

Delivery (Outside Mainland UK)

Orders placed for delivery outside mainland UK will be subject to a minimum carriage charge of £25.00. Each order will be reviewed on an individual basis and if the carriage charge exceeds £25.00 the customer will be contacted.

Surcharges will apply for deliveries outside of Mainland UK for oversized items.  Please contact our Customer Service Team for accurate pricing.

Our 2 Day Delivery service

Your order will be processed immediately upon receipt and goods which are in stock will be dispatched within approximately 2 working days. This does not include made to order products. At times of high demand the delivery timescale may have to be extended, however we will endeavour at all times to meet our estimated timescale of 2 days. Early Years Resources will not accept liability for loss, damages or expenses arising from the delayed delivery of any goods. Please contact our Customer Care Team for further details.

Made to Order

Some products in our catalogue may come directly from our manufacturers and some products may be made to order with a delivery time scale of approx 2-30 days. In both instances this will be indicated on your sales invoice.

Deliveries are made Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays).

Refused Delivery

If a delivery is refused once it has left our warehouse Early Year Resources reserves the right to charge for the cost of delivery and the cost of returning the goods to our warehouse, the minimum charge is £15.00. To assist with deliveries during school holidays please indicate opening times when placing orders.


Our Customer Care Team must be notified of short deliveries / damaged goods / faulty goods within 48 hours of receipt of goods. A signature made against a delivery is confirmation that the goods have been received as stated on the invoice. Claims outside this time frame will not be accepted. Each claim is individually investigated. If it is found that goods have been damaged in transit, the goods will be replaced. However, if the replacement is refused and cancelled by the customer cancellation charges will apply.Please do not sign for the delivery of goods unless you have carefully examined them for damage or missing products.

Back Orders

It is our policy to deliver orders complete and carry 95% of all catalogue products in stock only 5% of our products is on a direct delivery basis . If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you, and send it to you when in stock.

It is always a good idea to contact our office after about 10 days to get up to date information regarding the back orders.


Tax Charges

Value Added Tax

All prices quoted are exclusive of VAT. VAT will be added where applicable and also applies to carriage charges.

Credit Card Security

All credit card numbers are encrypted in the software when the order is placed using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.


Please be aware - we have recently introduced a new secure method of taking your payment this is called 3D Secure, some times it is referred to as chip and pin for the web. This will require the customer to create a password for future transactions. This is the way forward with many banks, and is just another way of ensuring that your payment method is secured. The 3D secure will appear after you have entered your card details into the Protx/Sage Pay payment system. Please follow the instructions and fill out any required information in order for you payment to be successful and your order to be confirmed. Returns Policy


Goods should not be returned without first contacting our Customer Care team. Goods are not supplied on a sale or return basis. Should an item need to be returned it must be returned in its original packaging and in a re-saleable condition. To make a return there will be a minimum £25.00 collection fee as well as a 15% administration charge plus VAT. This charge may vary if made to order items are being returned. If the customer wants to return goods at their own cost the Customer Care Team must first be notified for instructions to be given. We will not accept goods returned without prior authorisation, if this occurs the customer will still be charged for the goods. Where an item is faulty we reserve the right to first repair or replace. If this is not possible a credit may be issued. For further details please contact our Customer Care Team.


Cancellation of orders will be accepted providing the goods have not yet been dispatched from our warehouse, or in the case of made to order items, the goods have not left our supplier warehouse or production has not started. If goods have been dispatched then the returns policy will apply.
