Instructions for your Colourful Finches:

Step 1: Draw a 12cm diameter circle onto coloured paper, you could use a bowl to draw round as a guide. Cut out the circle then fold it in half for the bird’s body.

Step 2: Cut some coloured paper into curved shapes then glue onto both sides the folded circle to make coloured patches on the head and body. Trim around the edge if there are any overhanging pieces. Add wings in another colour.

Step 3: Open out the body then glue a forked tail and a triangular beak to the inside edge near the fold. Tape a thin wooden stick to the middle of the circle.

Step 4: Glue around the edge of the circle then fold it back. Glue wobbly eyes onto both sides.

Hints and Tips: Add your own variations for different colours and beak shapes!
