Father’s Day Tie Gift – Crafts

The young ones can let their creativity run wild with this simple step-by-step guide to making a tie for their dad this Father’s Day. All you need is the following:

Sheets of Coloured Card
Paper Plates
Variety of painting objects
Length of cord or Ribbon

To make a Father’s Day Tie

  1. Cut out the shape of a tie from a sheet of coloured card, use the image show above as a guideline.
  2. Put a selection of paints on paper plates for the children to chose from, along with a variety of painting objects – we used the wheels of a toy car for the tie on the right and a K’nex piece to stamp with on the left. Try all sorts!
  3. When the paint has dried, cut a length of ribbon or cord and fix to the back of the tie with sticky tape. A  message can be written on the back of the tie.
