KS1 and KS2 Science Resources from EYR.
Encouraging a deeper understanding of the world, our specially selected KS2 Science products will enable you to broaden your students’ scientific knowledge through observing, exploring, asking and analysing.
Our collection of resources covers key areas of KS1 and KS2 Science, including:
Science is about asking questions, developing practical experiences and finding out about the world around us. It can stimulate, excite and engage learners at many levels. In early years, KS1 and KS2 much of the scientific enquiry takes place outdoors. In fact, more than half of the units in Key Stage 1 ask children to explore living things in their local environment. Being able to optimise the opportunities to get young children out of the classroom, and get them learning outdoors, is a wonderful experience for all involved. At EYR we aspire to support early years and primary teachers as they create captivating learning opportunities. From looking at mini beasts, with ingenious bug tongs and bug base, to planting and growing with Watch Me Grow Planter and Fun to Grow seed collections we have the outdoor science curriculum covered.
During Key Stage 2 pupils learn about a wider range of living things, materials and phenomena. They begin to think about scientific enquiry through systematic investigation. With modules covering materials and their properties as well as physical processes, items such as our Properties Of Materials kits provide a fun and engaging way of identifying the characteristics of different materials and their application to everyday uses. Our Changing Materials Kit focuses on defining solids, liquids and gases and how to manipulate these with processes such as separating, mixing, melting and dissolving.
At EYR we pride ourselves on our expertise and experience within education, with many of our staff coming from a teaching background. This means we understand the challenges teachers face with the Key Stage 2 National Curriculum and all of our products, whether developed in-house or sourced from carefully selected 3rd party suppliers, are chosen by teachers for teachers.
