Fairtrade from Early Years Resources

As we are currently in Fairtrade Fortnight and there has been a great deal of media coverage about the continued growth of the Fairtrade movement, we thought it would be good to mention that we too offer some fairly-traded products in our range.

A number of the fairly-traded products that we include in our range are from a UK company that has been approved by BAFTS (British Association of Fair Trade Shops) since 2001 as a fair trade supplier. They source their handmade products directly from Sri Lankan suppliers. These suppliers have to maintain a safe and pleasant working environment, equal opportunities, good rates of pay, prompt payment for both employees and in country suppliers, and a quality product at a fair price.

As well as being a strong ethical choice of product, the toys are beautifully made to a very high standard and are made from durable rubberwood making them perfect for use with children in any setting. Follow these links to see the products for yourself: Hedgehog 1-5 Jigsaw, Tortoise 1-5 Jigsaw, Train 1-10 Jigsaw, Millipede 1-20 Jigsaw, Whale A-Z Jigsaw, Fairytale Castle Playscene, Castle Playscene, Fire Station Playscene, Farm Playscene, Fairtytale Blocks, Castle Blocks, Red Knights, Blue Knights, Farm in a Box.

The fairly-traded resources which we have used within our exclusive Buddhist Artefacts Pack and Jewish Artefacts Pack also come from a supplier registered with BAFTS.

that has been discussed for years. Wonderful stuff, just excellent!
