Instructions to make Fruity Fans:

Step 1: Firstly, paint the wooden spoon using red poster paint and leave to dry, it may need two coats to get good coverage.

Step 2: Using a template cut out a fan shape and an orange segment shape. Using a glue stick, stick the yellow piece into place onto the dark orange fan shape, so it leaves a border of dark orange around the edge.

Step 3: Next, arrange the five orange segment shapes onto the fan base and glue into place. Stick the orange button at the bottom of the fan.

Step 4: Using gel glue, attach the wooden spoon to the back of the cardboard fan shape, leaving the stem of the spoon as the fan handle. Let the glue set into place, then your fan will be ready to use!

Hints and Tips: Alternate your fruits! Try a watermelon, lemon or kiwi.
